I grew up in Bloomington, MN, went to college at the University of Kansas (BA’s in Psychology & English), and then moved to SW Minneapolis, where I’ve been since 1999. My love for animals began with my first puppy, Beauregard (a Westie), when I was four years old. Some of my best childhood memories are of walking Beau—just me, my best friend, and the outdoors. He lived to be 18 years old, and cemented my love for dogs forever.

In 2005, I recognized a great need for quality, in-home dog care and exercise services in Minneapolis. I had been searching for a suitable place to take my dogs for vacation care, and couldn’t find any place I felt comfortable leaving them. So I decided to go into business for myself to provide a premium dog walking and pet sitting service that would allow clients to leave their homes worry-free, confident that their animals would be in good hands. I have since dedicated myself to hiring and maintaining a truly remarkable staff, who are trustworthy, reliable, fun—and most importantly—have an amazing connection with and great love for animals.

I feel so fortunate that now, as an adult, I get to spend my days outdoors, making other people's dogs happy, in the most fulfilling profession I can imagine. In the span of 9 months, I lost two of the greatest loves of my life, both Humane Society rescues…my 12-year old black lab/shepherd mix Oscar, and my 14-year old black lab mix Nina. I miss them every day. Luckily, a furry little muppet came into my life soon before Oscar passed…his name is Huckleberry (an Aussie/Great Pyrenees mix), and he has brought so much joy and ridiculousness and fun into my life. Next I brought home a tri-paw Beagle/Bassett mix (Bagel!) named Rex and he is all heart and sass. I can't imagine life without my boys!
